Nectar Collector User Guides

Thank you for purchasing a Nectar Collector,
the next step in the evolution of vertical vaporization!

We hope you find this vertical vaporizer as useful and convenient as we do.
Here is all the user information you need for your Nectar Collector:

Nectar Collector with Ground Joint

To avoid accidental separation of your Nectar Collector tip or mouthpiece from the Nectar Collector body, check for a snug fit BEFORE EVERY USE!

  • Use Joint Wax on ground joints and tips to keep them stuck together when you want, and easy to pull apart when you’re done.
  • Apply a thin coating of joint wax to the male joint. Gently heat the joint wax using your torch until it just starts to melt. Immediately insert into the female joint and twist back and forth until both surfaces are evenly covered and the joints are set in place. To take apart, simply twist and wiggle the joints apart.
  • Fill your water cooled Nectar Collector with the tip removed. Water in the tip can lead to cracking of the tip or joint or WORSE.
  • Fill SLOWLY with water. Either pour water in through the mouthpiece or suck water in through the bottom like a straw. Filling too quickly will cause a siphon effect which will cause the water to just flow through the piece. To stop the siphon effect, suck through the mouthpiece to break the vapor lock.
  • Fill water only up to half way of the central up-stem of your Nectar Collector.
  • To clear water from spill proof Nectar Collectors with fixed mouthpieces, remove the tip and blow down through the mouthpiece.
  • To extend the life of your Nectar Collector borosilicate glass tips, first heat the tip gently by moving the flame in a brushing motion across the tip until it has a faint red glow.
  • DO NOT OVERHEAT THE TIP! If it’s glowing red, it’s too hot! You only need to heat the bottom ½” of the tip. Once it glows red, stop heating and wait for it to cool slightly. Excessive heating of the tip can lead to cracking of the tip or WORSE.
  • DO NOT apply direct heat to the threaded collar. We use a high temperature epoxy to bond the stainless steel collar to the glass and although it can handle temperatures of up to 500 degrees F without degrading, direct heating of the collar will destroy the bond over time.
  • It is important to hold your Nectar Collector horizontally while heating to avoid hot drips from any residue that may be inside the tip.
  • Just because a tip is cracked doesn’t mean it’s broken. Cracks are natural when glass gets heated and cooled over and over.
  • To heat the tip quickly and conserve your butane, try heating the tips with the top of the blue flame where it meets the yellow flame.
  • To get the most out of your stash and make it last, draw air through the mouth piece before putting the heated tip to your nectar. Simply dip, sip and pull away.

Cleaning

  • To clean, follow the steps above using your favorite cleaning solution instead of water. We like formula 710. Salt and rubbing alcohol also works well. Be careful if using Simple Green, we have had it take off decals on a few occasions.

Warranty

  • The Nectar Collector is handmade by human beings. We strive to get it right every time but occasionally defects in materials and workmanship slip through our quality control system and end up in the hands of our customers. If you are not 100% satisfied with your Nectar Collector when you receive it, please contact us and we will see what we can do to make it right. Our mission is the continuous improvement of our product line as well as the technique of vertical vaporizing. We are interested in any feedback from you our most valued customer.
